Cowboys Add Four FAs to Reserve/Future List

Dallas signed a defensive end, a guard and two linebackers on Wednesday

The Dallas Cowboys have added four players to the reserve/futures list, in defensive end Tristan Okpalaugo, guard Chris DeGeare and linebackers (and Texas natives) Jabara Williams and Quinton Spears, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Okpalaugo entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State last year and went to camp with the Miami Dolphins. After Miami cut him, he spent about a week with the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.

DeGeare was a fifth round pick out of Wake Forest by Minnesota back in 2010, and spent the first two years of his career there. He spent most of 2012 on the Titans’ practice squad, and, last year, spent the season on the Giants’ injured reserve.

Williams, a Stephen F. Austin product, was selected by the Rams in the seventh round back in 2011. He had a stint with the Bears before returning to St. Louis in November of 2012, where he stayed until just before the 2013 regular season.

Spears, a native of Huntsville, TX, entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Prairie View A&M in 2011. He’s spent time with the Dolphins, the Browns and the Colts, mostly on practice squads, and has eight tackles on his career.
