Cowboys Add DBs Mana Silva, CJ Wilson

With Barry Church on the IR, Dallas added two defensive backs on Tuesday

The Dallas Cowboys sent two players two the injured reserve on Tuesday, in running back DeMarco Murray (ankle) and safety Barry Church (shoulder) and signed three players, two defensive backs and a running back.

We devoted an earlier post to the addition of RB Sammy Morris. Also signed by Dallas on Tuesday were safeties Mana Silva (pictured) and CJ Wilson.

The Cowboys found the rookie Silva on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills. A Hawaii product, Silva spent training camp with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent.

Wilson is a Dallas native who played his college ball at Baylor. He spent four seasons with the Carolina Panthers before being released last September, recording 27 tackles and four defended passes while appearing in 23 games in that span.

Silva and Morris have joined the team’s active roster, while Wilson will join the practice squad. According to the Dallas Morning News, all three of Dallas’ new additions were present and in uniform at practice on Tuesday.
