Ex-Saint Corey White Excited For Return to New Orleans

The Cowboys cornerback was drafted by the Saints in the 5th round of the 2012 Draft

Cowboys cornerback Corey White doesn’t need to wonder what it’s going to be like inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at kickoff on Sunday.

White was drafted by the Saints in the fifth round in 2012 and played three seasons for the team, starting 19 games in that span. He was waived by the team in March and claimed by the Cowboys the very next day.

“It’ll be loud. I’ll be on the other sideline this time, but I’m looking forward to it,” White told his new team’s official website. “Just remembering the ‘Who Dat’ chant before the games gives me the chills--it still will, probably, this Sunday. I’m looking forward to it.”

White, who has a pair of tackles through three games with the Cowboys, said he’s doing his best to keep emotions out of his preparation, but acknowledged that there’s a little something extra to this particular date on the schedule.

“It’ll be fun, I’m looking forward to it,” White said. “I know the offense well, I know all those guys well--I won’t be nervous at all. It’s just football."
