Coppell's McBride Wins “Coach of the Year” Honors from Dallas Cowboys

Coppell’s head football coach Joe McBride was honored as the Dallas Cowboys high school coach of the year in a ceremony prior to the Coppell-Southlake Carroll basketball game Tuesday night.

Cowboys’ mascot Rowdy and two Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders were on hand to present McBride with a certificate and a check for $2,000 for the school.

McBride led the Cowboys--uh, Coppell, not Dallas--to a 13-1 record in 2010, the best record in school history. He was also named the Class 5A coach of the year by ESPN Dallas.
