Coming Off 4-Win Season, Oddsmakers Establish Cowboys as NFC East Favorite

Welcome to the NFC East, where a 4-win team can be the odds-on favorite to win the division.

Sure enough, the Cowboys – coming off last year’s 4-12 disaster – have been established as the team to beat in the NFC East in 2016. Thanks to the return of quarterback Tony Romo, the expected healthy production of Dez Bryant and the drafting of running back Ezekiel Elliott, Las Vegas oddsmakers are expecting the Cowboys to be better than three division foes and a couple rookie head coaches.

According to several online betting sites, the Cowboys have 20-1 odds of winning Super Bowl 51. The Giants and new coach Ben McAdoo are at 25-1, the Redskins and their 28th-ranked defense are 40-1 and the Eagles – with new coach Doug Pederson and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz – come in at a whopping 50-1.
