Colt McCoy Being Flooded with Ticket Requests

The former Longhorn will return to Texas on Monday as the quarterback of the Redskins

In all likelihood, University of Texas product and Washington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy will start against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, and that news has a good deal of Mccoy’s friends and family reaching out for tickets.

“I was going to get a few tickets before I wasn’t playing and now it has turned into a laundry list,” McCoy said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I don’t want it to be too big of a distraction though. I am excited about going back to Dallas. It is going to be a lot of fun.”

McCoy led the Redskins to a victory over the Titans last week after taking over for Kirk Cousins, who was benched. Washington coach Jay Gruden has said McCoy will start unless Robert Griffin III is 100 percent recovered from the dislocated ankle that has kept him out since Week 2, and it’s looking like he won’t be.

It will mark McCoy’s first NFL start since 2011, when he was playing for the Browns.

“Yeah, it’s really unbelievable,” McCoy said. “I can’t even sometimes take my mind there. But, I’m really just trying to approach this as a professional and know that this is our next game, this is our next opponent.”
