Mitch Moreland has hit six home runs in his last seven games, and four in the last two in wins over the Baltimore Orioles.
With that said, it's hard to imagine anyone else getting noticed at the plate for the Texas Rangers.
But one struggling piece of the lineup is starting to turn things around.
Shin-Soo Choo, who is batting just .210 over his last 15 games and has been a key part of the Rangers' recent offensive slump along with the rest of the starting outfield, is starting to heat up at the plate. Just like the last time Choo bounced out of an extended slump, he's doing it by going to the opposite field with effectiveness, and he's doing it with power.
Choo homered on Tuesday night after hitting a long ball on Monday and having another one robbed and pulled back in from the left field fence.
With Josh Hamilton back in the lineup and not skipping a beat in his return Tuesday, a resurgent Choo could really get the Rangers' lineup cooking given the way Mitch Moreland and Prince Fielder continue to swing the bat.
Given the fact Choo is one of the team's highest paid players, that'd be nice to see.
