Choo Has Big Bounce-Back Game

Shin-Soo Choo spent the first month and a half or so of the season as the Texas Rangers' best hitter and looked to be every bit the leadoff hitter the Rangers were hoping they'd signed this winter when they gave him a seven-year deal.

He was 1-for-24 and 0-for-18 entering Wednesday night's game, and appears to be still be battling a sore ankle. Moving to the third spot in the order after Mitch Moreland's injury, Choo is being counted on to drive in some runs, and on Wednesday night he got things started for the Rangers in a big way.

Choo sent a bases-clearing double down the right field line in the third inning, which got a litlte help from a misplay by Giancarlo Stanton. Later in the game, he drove in Elvis Andrus on an RBI single off Kevin Slowey to finish the night with four RBIs.

He's now got three hits in the last week instead of one, so he's got a ways to go before it's safe to say he's out of his slump, but Wednesday night was a nice start.
