Cheering on the Troops Dallas Cowboys Style

Each year, members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading squad give up their holidays with their families and head overseas to help cheer on the troops.

This past Christmas and New Year marked the 30th year the team has performed with the USO in Korea.

“I can’t believe it’s been 30 years of touring with the USO,” said Kelli Finglass, director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.  “Since the cheerleaders first went out on tour in the late 70s, we’ve looked for ways to thank our nation’s troops and their families for their service and sacrifice."

The girls traveled from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, often performing for close to 1,000 people each night.

And on Dec. 30, the cheerleaders performed for more than 500 soldiers and their families from the Humphreys Garrison community.
