Cameron Artis-Payne Believes He'd be a Great Fit in Dallas

Auburn's Cameron Artis-Payne grew up an Eagles fan in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Growing up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, just over 100 miles west of Philadelphia, Auburn running back Cameron Artis-Payne was an Eagles fan. But he’d be glad to come to Dallas and play for the rival Cowboys, should the team select him in this year’s draft.

"Not at all," Artis-Payne said, per the Dallas Morning News. "Anybody that is going to draft me, I would love to play for them. I spoke to them yesterday. That would be a great fit. They obviously run the ball a lot."

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team will meet with “all those top backs” prior to the draft, which he believes is one of the strongest in recent memory in terms of depth at the running back position.

"This draft is actually heavy as it has been in running backs,” Jones said. “This is one of the strongest years it has ever been for running back.”
