Morris Claiborne has been labeled a colossal bust to this point in his career, mainly because of where the Cowboys took him in the 2012 NFL draft. In fact, Dallas traded up in the draft — something they never do — to take the LSU cornerback with the sixth overall pick.
So far in his career, Claiborne has three interceptions in four seasons and had no interceptions in 2015, but neither did any of the other Cowboys' corners. He's also battled injuries, playing 15 games as a rookie but then seeing this year's total of 11 be a career-high other than that rookie season.
But, Claiborne did show a lot of areas of improvement in 2015 and was having a pretty good year when he was injured to cut his season short. He could be a guy the Cowboys could get at a bargain price in free agency and they might want to see if their big draft investment could eventually pay off.
