The Brahmas powerplay scored with four minutes remaining in the final period with a goal from Greg McConnell, his third of the season.
Texas outshot the Killer Bees 35-32, helping them with their 2-0 victory.
Texas will begin its longest road trip of the season starting Friday and Saturday in Mississippi.
Texas defeated Mississippi in the home opener at the NYTEX Sports Centre 4-2.
