Sorry Jerry, What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas

The Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. welterweight title fight, which Jerry Jones was trying to get to Cowboys Stadium, will likely take place in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand.

ESPN.com is reporting, although the deal is not signed yet, Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya is quoted "It looks like it," on the deal.

De La Hoya appears to be the only one positive on where the fight will take place. Both the MGM and Mayweather's advisers aren't confirming a plan is in place.

Jerry Jones reportedly offered a $25 million site fee, the biggest in boxing history, to host the March 13 HBO pay per view battle.

Cowboys stadium can hold 100,000 people - the MGM Grand Garden Arena only holds 17,000.

But according to ESPN, the promoters of the fight apparently believe they can "generate more money by going to the MGM Grand."

The official announcement is expected sometime in early January.
