Benn, Seguin, Ruff in Nashville for All-Star Weekend

It's the third All-Star appearance for Ruff and Seguin and the second for Benn

The Dallas Stars have a trio of representatives in Nashville for the 2016 NHL All-Star Game this weekend in coach Lindy Ruff, and forwards Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. It’s the third career All-Star appearance for Seguin and Ruff, and the second for Benn.

“I think it’s awesome for our team, for our franchise, for the fans, because you look at where we’re at, they’re a good part of that,” Ruff told the team’s official website. “They’ve led the way for us, and they’ve proven the last couple years they’re two of the elite players, and it’s going to be fun to see them in the game.”

Where the Stars are at, at the break, is second in the Central Division, trailing the Blackhawks by three points in the standings, and third in the NHL. Losers of seven of their last ten, there’s work to be done when the Stars get back. But that work is at the other side of a fun weekend.

“It’s going to be fun. It’s an honor to go and represent the Dallas Stars,” said Benn. “It’s exciting to go with Seguin, and Lindy is going to be there too. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m going to try to get some rest at the same time and take it all in.”
