Beltre Earns Another Player of the Month Nod

Every time the Texas Rangers release a team player of the month, it seems Adrian Beltre is the recipient. And he did it again for the month of June.

On Tuesday, the Rangers announced Beltre was the winner of June's player of the month after he had a scorching June and carried what was a pretty bad offense.

The veteran third baseman, who missed two weeks earlier in the season with a quadriceps injury, won the award for the sixth time in just 11 months, dating back to August of last season. So in other words, he's batting .500 in that regard.

For June, Beltre hit .392 — his highest batting average for any month in his career — and had a 1.013 OPS. The 35-year-old just seems to be an ageless wonder for the Rangers, who could possibly trade him prior to the July 31 trade deadline, though that would be a heartbreaking day for just about every Rangers fan, and it seems relatively unlikely.
