Beasley on QB Change: “We've Still Got to Get Open”

Cole Beasley has eight catches on the season for 63 yards

If Cole Beasley is any indication, going from Tony Romo last week to Brandon Weeden this week won’t change the approach of the members of the Dallas Cowboys’ receiving corps much.

Beasley was asked about making the adjustment in a recent appearance on 105.3-FM The Fan’s Ben & Skin show, and responded that there’s not really much of an adjustment to be made.

It's just a different guy--for me,” Beasley said, per the Dallas Morning News. “It's still the same offense, running the same routes, just somebody else throwing it. Nothing really changes for the wideout group.

“We've still got to get open and make plays for whoever is throwing us the ball.”

Beasley has eight catches for 63 yards in two games this season, and figures to be a big part of the Cowboys’ effort to work through the absence of Dez Bryant, who suffered a broken foot in the opener and is out for the foreseeable suture.
