Dallas Starscenter Brad Richards is out six to eight weeks with a broken right wrist.
Richards got hurt Monday night as the Stars beat Columbus 3-2.
Richards took a hard check midway through the second period and skated to the bench holding his right wrist. He didn't return.
He's being put on injured reserve with a distal radius fracture in his right wrist.
Team officials said surgery is not needed for Richards, who'll be re-evaluated in about one month.
Team captain Brenden Morrow has been out since suffering a torn anterior back in November but told the Star Telegram he is hopeful about his return to the ice.
Defenseman Sergei Zubov is also out on injury-reserve .
The Stars next six games are at home starting with the Oilers.
