Auburn, Oregon BCS Title Game Rematch Coming to JerryWorld in 2019

Auburn and Oregon will face off for just the second time ever at JerryWorld in 2019

The 2019 college football season will get started with a huge matchup right here in North Texas.

In a rematch of the 2011 BCS National Championship Game, the Oregon Ducks will face the Auburn Tigers on August 31, 2019 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. It will mark just the second time in history that the two teams have played, the first (of course) coming in that 2011 title game, which a Cam Newton-led Auburn team won 22-19 on a last-second field goal.

"I'm thrilled that Auburn will face Oregon in an epic match-up of two elite programs on a big stage to open the 2019 season," Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said in a statement, per AL.com. "I know how much it means to our players to have an opportunity to play in high-profile games; it is one reason they choose to come to Auburn. I'm also happy for the Auburn family, the best fans in college football. They always travel in masses to support our program, so this is a great reward for them as well."

The game will mark the 11th edition of the AdvoCare Classic, which has been around since JerryWorld has.
