UPDATE (4:00 p.m.): Adduci was indeed placed on the seven-day concussion DL.

At least it wasn't his finger.

The pesky finger that has put Jim Adduci on the disabled list twice this season after breaking it, and then re-breaking it on a rehab assignment. Nope, it wasn't that. But the Rangers' fourth outfielder/platoon man found another way to join the injury party on Thursday night in Houston.

Adduci left the game in the fourth inning after an acrobatic catch in right field foul territory when he stumbled over second baseman Rougned Odor and landed hard on the foul warning track. In the process, his head drilled the ground in what looked like an almost sure concussion.

Adduci ended up leaving the field under his own power, and the club said he would be re-evaluated, but don't be shocked to see Adduci hit the fairly new seven-day disabled list reserved for concussions. If that happens, the only question would be if it counts as a whole DL move and would further the Rangers' record-setting season in that regard.
