A Look at Potential Draft Target, Louisville FS Calvin Pryor

Pryor is considered either the No. 1 or 2 safety in the 2014 NFL Draft

The majority of NFL Draft experts seem to agree that the Dallas Cowboys will address their rapidly aging defensive line in the first round this year, but there’s also a fairly strong contingent that believe the Cowboys will go after a safety.

If that’s the case, Louisville’s Calvin Pryor could be the man for Dallas.

Pryor is pretty much unanimously ranked as the No. 1 or No. 2 safety in the 2014 draft class--the other unanimous “Top Two” safety is Alabama’s Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who has also been connected to the Cowboys in mock drafts--and he was named All-AAC in his junior season of 2013.

NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has the 21-year-old coming to the Cowboys in his latest mock draft.

“The Cowboys have a need at safety and Pryor’s combination of range, ball skills and toughness would be tough to pass up,” Jeremiah wrote.

If Pryor was to come to Dallas, he’d take over the spot opposite the newly-extended Barry Church.
