World Cup Third Place Play-Off: Belgium vs. England

They will face each other for the second time during this tournament.

The FIFA World Cup 2018 has come to an end, however, Belgium and England must pick themselves after being defeated in semi-finals.

They will face each other for the second time during this tournament and will fight for the third place in Saint Petersburg.

After a 1-0 defeat to France on Tuesday, Belgium will have to continue waiting for its first-ever world cup title. However, the Red Devils still have something to play for: a win against England that would result in their best world cup finish after losing the third place match to France in 1986.

In the meantime, England will be looking to recover from a devastating semi-final loss to Croatia on Wednesday that ended in 2-1 during overtime.

The loss meant that England remains without a World Cup title since 1966 when they won the tournament at home.

These two teams met on June 28 in their final group-stage match, which ended with a 1-0 where Belgium won.

This match features as well the most premier league players of any matchup in the tournament. A total of 35 players from the two rosters – including the entire England squad – were in the premier league last season.
