Tulsa Slips Past Jaeger, Brahmas

Brahmas fall to Tulsa, 2-1.

Texas came one goal short Tuesday night in Tulsa, losing 2-1.

In net for Texas was Brett Jaeger who stopped 27 of 29 shots. Tulsa goaltender Guy St. Vincent won his third game of the season for the Oilers. Scoring began in the second period when Tulsa was able to beat Jaeger twice in with goals coming from Michel Beausoleil and Brendon Hodge.

The Brahmas were down 2-0 in the final period and were being outshot 21-20, but forward Greg McConnell was not about to let the Brahmas get shut out, scoring at the 13:19 mark off of a crazy rebound. It was his second goal of the season.

Texas went with an extra attacker in the winding seconds of the game, but was unable to convert, losing to Tulsa 2-1. The Brahmas went 0 for 7 on the powerplay.

The Brahmas return home Friday night to face the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:05 PM.

Fans are encouraged to bring stuffed animals to the game to toss on the ice after the Brahmas first goal. The toys will be donated to the Community Enrichment Center of North Richland Hills.

Saturday, Texas plays new divisional foes, Laredo Bucks, for the first time this season for a 7:05 PM faceoff. The first 2,000 fans will receive a game puck courtesy of Capital One bank.
