Titans Owner Sticking with Young

Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams says he's not disappointed with Vince Young's progress, even though his former top draft pick has been standing on the sidelines this season.

Adams tells The Tennessean in Nashville that he fully expects Young to once again lead the Titans, maybe as soon as next season.
Adams says Young is still learning, and that the former Texas Longhorn star is under contract for three more years and is not going anywhere.

Young has been relegated to a backup role this season behind veteran Kerry Collins. Adams praised Collins' performance as the starter, but says Young will get another chance eventually.

Young has played just once since the first week of the season, when he suffered a knee injury.

Young says he has a good relationship with Adams and says he appreciates his support. The 2006 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has been backing up Collins since spraining his knee in the opener.
