Sunday's Best

Big Ben was ticking and Megatron returned, only to have us remembering the Titans after a wild week 7. Let's take a look at the rankings in a week that was dominated on the ground.

Top 5 QBs:

1. Kyle Orton - 283 Yds, 2 TDs, 1 FL - There was a time when Orton was asked to simply manage the game. That is no longer the case, as he is turning into a very consistent fantasy option.

2. Matt Schaub - 267 Yds, 2 TDs, 1 FL - It's a pretty safe bet that Schaub's job is no longer in jeopardy, as he has put together two solid weeks in a row. It also doesn't hurt that he has a guy named Andre Johnson on his team.

3. Ben Roethlisberger - 216 Yds, 2 TDs - Big Ben now has five passing TDs in his last two games, as he seems to have put his early season troubles behind him.

4. Jake Delhomme - 195 Yds, 2 TDs - While I would love to bust out in song to "The Banana Boat Song", I'll take a two touchdown no turnover performance in the meantime.

5. Jeff Garcia - 310 Yds, 1 TD, 8 Rush Yds - Garcia lived up to every bit of the "C" on his jersey, as he delivered a near flawless performance on Sunday night.

Top 7 RBs: (5 wouldn't have done this week any justice)

1. Steven Jackson - 160 Rush Yds, 3 Tds, 2 Rec, 16 Yds - Lights, camera, Jackson. S-Jax showed burst, power, and patience, as he scored from just about everywhere on the field Sunday.

2. Lendale White - 149 Rush Yds, 3 TDs, 1 Rec, 7 Yds - Who knew that "Thunder" could strike a little lightning? Weren't the 80-yard runs supposed to be left to Chris Johnson? (see below)

3. Mewelde Moore - 120 Rush Yds, 2 TDs, 5 Rec, 14 Yds, 1 TD - It was Moore than a feeling on Sunday, as Mewelde showed he's capable of being a viable fantasy back. Even when FWP comes back, it looks like Moore has done his share to warrant some carries.

4. Adrian Peterson - 121 Yds, 2 TDs, 1 Rec, 9 Yds - Now that's more like it. AP could've had an even bigger day if it weren't for a 1-yard score from Chester Taylor. Nonetheless, this is the type of performance that AP owners have come to expect from their high draft pick.

5. Dominic Rhodes - 73 Rush Yds, 2 TDs, 4 Rec, 41 Yds - Rhodes was the lone bright spot for the Colts' offense on Sunday, as he showed he can be a productive back in Addai's absence.

6. Chris Johnson - 168 Rush Yds, 1 TD, 2 Rec, 4 Yds - CJ added a 66-yard score of his own, as the Titans ran all over the Chiefs on Sunday.

7. Clinton Portis - 175 Yds, 1 TD, 1 Rec, 8 Yds, 1 FL - CP should stand for "consistently productive", because that is exactly what he has been - rushing for over 120-yards in four consecutive games.

Top 5 WRs :

1. Calvin Johnson - 2 Rec, 154 Yds, 1 TD - It only took two catches for Megatron to explode on Sunday, as the only thing missing was a cameo appearance from Megan Fox.

2. Steve Smith - 6 Rec, 122 Yds, 1 TD - Talk about consistency; Smith has totaled 6 receptions in each of the past four games. As long as Delhomme is throwing him the ball all will be good in Carolina.

3. Andre Johnson - 11 Rec, 141 Yds, 0 TD - Just add 11 more catches to his resume; that makes 30 in the last three games! The man crush is now official.

4. Lee Evans - 8 Rec, 89 Yds, 1 TD - Sunday was a rare exception, as it usually doesn't take Evans many catches to get the job done. You won't hear any complaints from his owners in PPR leagues.

5. Antonio Bryant - 6 Rec, 115 Yds, 1 TD - Bryant found the end zone for the first time this year, as his up-and-down season is tough to get a gauge on.

Top 5 TEs:

1. Owen Daniels - 6 Rec, 66 Yds, 2 TDs - The yardage totals have been there all season long for Daniels, but he finally reached the end zone Sunday in a big way.

2. Greg Olsen - 6 Rec, 74 Yds, 1 TD - Olsen is turning into a serviceable TE1 option, as this marks the second time in three games that he has eclipsed the 70-yard plateau.

3. Visanthe Shiancoe - 4 Rec, 68 Yds, 1 TD - The touchdown output from Shiancoe has been nice (3 TDs on the season), but the yardage totals remain extremely inconsistent.

4. Martellus Bennett - 2 Rec, 67 Yds, 1 TD - Yikes! A garbage time touchdown is probably the only production he'll see as long as #82 (Jason Witten) is around.

5. Tony Gonzalez - 6 Rec, 97 Yds, 0 TD - The trade deadline has come and gone, and Gonzalez is still a Chief. Sunday was easily his best performance of the season and, if he keeps playing like that, it won't matter what team he's on.

Bottom 5 QBs:

1. Brett Favre - 197 Yds, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
2. Peyton Manning - 229 Yds, 0 TDs, 2 INTs - Looks like I spoke a little too soon last week.
3. Kerry Collins - 123 Yds, 0 TDs - Just look above to see why Collins didn't put up any kind of numbers.
4. Drew Brees - 231 Yds, 0 TDs, 1 INT
5. Derek Anderson - 136 Yds, 1 TD - Do I hear chants of "Brady, Brady, Brady" off in the distance?

Bottom 5 RBs:

1. Rudi Johnson - 8 Rush Yds, 0 TDs
2. Ronnie Brown - 27 Rush Yds, 1 Rec, 1 Yd, 0 TDs
3. Frank Gore - 11 Rush Yds, 3 Rec, 50 Yds, 0 TDs
4. Julius Jones - 42 Rush Yds, 1 Rec, -5 Yds, 0 TDs
5. LaDainian Tomlinson - 41 Rush Yds, 6 Rec, 26 Yds, 0 TDs - This is becoming a common theme for LT2, as that now makes three consecutive games without a touchdown.

Bottom 5 WRs:

1. Marques Colston - 0 Rec, 0 Yds - You have to wonder if he's still nursing an injury.
2. Jerricho Cotchery - 1 Rec, 0 Yds
3. Marvin Harrison - 2 Rec, 16 Yds, 0 TDs - See note on Manning above.
4. Reggie Wayne - 2 Rec, 24 Yds, 0 TDs - Well at least Wayne and Harrison are consistent - both in the Top 5 last week and both in the Bottom 5 this week.
5. Terrell Owens - 2 Rec, 31 Yds, 0 TDs - Sunday's performance will have T.O. begging for Tony Romo to come back.

Bottom 5 TEs:

1. Kellen Winslow - 2 Rec, 17 Yds, 0 TDs
2. Chris Cooley - 4 Rec, 32 Yds, 0 TDs
3. Vernon Davis - 1 Rec, 5 Yds
4. Heath Miller - 2 Rec, 13 Yds, 0 TDs
5. Anthony Fasano - 2 Rec, 25 Yds, 0 TDs
