Southlake's Chase Daniel: No Hard Feelings for Longhorns

Daniel gets try restoring Heisman image vs. Texas

Texas native Chase Daniel insists he has no hard feelings against the Longhorns for waiting until the last minute to offer him a scholarship.

Missouri's quarterback says everything worked out for both himself and the University of Texas as the Tigers prepare to play the top-ranked Longhorns on Saturday.

Daniel was the Texas Class 5A player of the year his last two seasons while leading Southlake Carroll High School to a 31-1 record.

Missouri was the first school to offer him a scholarship, and he stayed committed to the Tigers even after Texas offered him a scholarship close to national signing day after someone else backed out.

Daniel was fourth last year in voting for the Heisman Trophy. He lost momentum last weekend by throwing three interceptions in a loss at home to Oklahoma State.
