Bowl game match ups are set for two North Texas university teams.
Mountain West champion TCU accepted an invitation to play in the San Diego County Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21.
The Horned Frogs will face Louisiana Tech. The Poinsettia Bowl will be TCU's 27th bowl appearance. The Horned Frogs are 12-13-1 in bowl games.
SMU will take on Pittsburgh in the 2012 BBVA Compass Bowl.
It will take place Jan. 7 at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala. The Mustangs finished the 2011 regular season 7-5. This will be SMU's 14th bowl appearance overall.
