The Texas Rangers haven't clinched a playoff spot, yet, but starting Tuesday fans can purchase tickets to possible postseason games.
The Rangers announced an online ticket opportunity to allow fans the chance to register for the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets for one of the three possible American League Division Series games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
The online registration begins at 9 a.m. and will continue through Sunday, Sept. 9 at 11:59 p.m. Fans can visit www.texasrangers.com/opportunity for registration.
Following registration, a pool of randomly selected registrants will be chosen and provided access to an online pre-sale opportunity, based on available inventory. Those selected will be notified by email no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
There is no charge for registration and this online opportunity is the only option for fans to purchase individual tickets to the 2012 ALDS games at Rangers Ballpark.
Registration is valid for all three postseason ticket opportunities that will be held in September.
Regardless of selection in the ALDS ticket opportunity, all registrants are automatically entered for the chance to participate in both the ALCS and World Series ticket opportunities.
There is a possibility of up to three ALDS games that could be played in Arlington. Tickets may be purchased for Game 1, Game 2, or Game 3 of the ALDS at Rangers Ballpark. The 2012 American League Division Series is scheduled from Oct. 6-12.
