Left-hander Matt Harrison is going straight from the disabled list to the pitcher's mound.
The Texas Rangers activated Harrison from the 15-day disabled list in time to start last night's game against the Houston Astros. To make room on the roster, the Rangers sent right-hander Warner Madrigal to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Harrison was 4-4 with a 5.43 ERA in nine starts for Texas before going on the DL on May 26 due to left shoulder inflammation.
Harrison posted a 2.57 ERA in seven innings during two rehab starts for Double-A Frisco.
Madrigal has no record with a 10.13 ERA in eight relief appearances for the Rangers this season.
