Rangers Kinsler Headed to Cooperstown

Hall of Fame Asks for Kinsler memorabilia

One night after Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler went 6-for-6, the National Baseball Hall of Fame called the Rangers and for game-used item to display in Cooperstown.

Kinsler became the fourth player in Rangers history with a cycle, reaching the feat with a triple in the sixth inning. With his RBI double in the eighth, he became only the second Texas player with a six-hit game and then scored his fifth run, matching another team record.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, which tracks stats for Major League Baseball, Kinsler is the first player in modern major league history (since 1900) to have a 6-hit cycle in a 9-inning game.

Oh by the way, Texas defeated Baltimore 19-6 to snap a five-game losing streak.
