Prime Prep Pulls Out of UIL

School aims to play national schedule

There is a big change ahead for student-athletes at Deion Sanders' Prime Prep Academy.  School leaders have decided to withdraw from the University Interscholastic League.

Prime Prep said the move will now allow them to arrage its own national schedule for athletics.

Prime Prep sent a letter to league officials Wednesday blaming their departure on unfair treatment from District 11-3A, the district where it petitioned to play sports.

The school has had trouble getting players approved by the district after students transfered to the school.Prime Prep was accused of recruiting student-athletes, a claim Sanders and the school has denied.
