Powder-Puff Blondes vs. Brunettes Game Raises $200,000 for Alzheimer's Association

Game to be played Aug. 17 at Dallas' Bishop Lynch High School

For the sixth straight year, dozens of blondes and brunettes will face-off on the football field to raise money for Alzheimer's research.

This year's all-girl Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder-Puff Football Game will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday Aug. 17 at Roffino Stadium at Dallas' Bishop Lynch High School.

Over the last five years the games have raised just over $1 million for the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

This year, the group said players and coaches have already raised more than $210,000 of their $350,000 game-day goal -- and all of those who play on game day must raise at least $1,000.

The group said that 70 percent of the 150 participants have been directly or indirectly affected by the disease.

Tickets to the game are $25 each and also include access to a post-game private party that includes a surprise "country singing" guest.
