Packers Move Practice To Highland Park

Inclement weather has forced the Packers to move indoors for their Wednesday practice

With the DFW and most of the region being gutpunched by winter weather, the Green Bay Packers will move their Wednesday practice from its scheduled destination of SMU to the indoor facility at Highland Park High School, the Dallas Morning News reports.

According to Packers’ head coach Mike McCarthy, the team may remain at the facility for the rest of the week.

McCarthy, whose daughter attended perennial 4A powerhouse Lake Travis, told reporters that, though his specialists had to be sent to practice at Cowboys Stadium, he didn’t foresee any problem with the late change in venue, and argued that practicing at a high school in Texas is a little different from practicing at high schools elsewhere.

One skeptical reporter pointed out that, still, it is a high school.

“But," McCarthy responded, "a high school in Texas is a little different than normal high schools.

"...We feel like this won't affect us from a preparation standpoint at all."
