Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Terrell Owens, is known for his performance on the field but you could also call him a health nut.
Not only does he have his own book on fitness in stores, but he is also helping in the mission to fight diabetes.
Along with Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, Owens was on hand in Dallas on Tuesday to help announce the first annual "Passport to Health."
The Diabetes Awareness Expo will take place at Music Hall in Fair Park on Wednesday, November 5th.
An estimated 24 million American's have diabetes and 400-thousand of those are North Texans.
