Gold Glove shortstop Omar Vizquel caught something different in the offseason: an 11-foot anaconda.
The Texas Rangers infielder went out into the wildlands of his native Venezuela to get close to one of the world's largest snakes.
Vizquel says he's always had a dream to go into the jungle and try to find an anaconda.
The 41-year-old says he made the trip, after last season, with a couple of buddies.
A guide at a wildlife refuge stepped into shallow water, grabbed the anaconda by the tail and pulled it onto dry land.
Vizquel was all smiles when he got his chance to take the agitated snake -- weighing about 90 pounds -- by the tail.
The reptile wasn't harmed.

It was released back into the wild after a video was shot and plenty of pictures had been taken -- which Vizquel shared Friday with his Rangers teammates.
