No. 20 TCU Ready for 1st Game as Big 12 Team

Horned Frogs face Grambling Saturday

The long wait is finally over for TCU.

After 16 seasons spread over three different conferences, and an extra week when just about everybody else got to play a game, the 20th-ranked Horned Frogs are ready to open their first season as a member of the Big 12.

So much is coming together Saturday night for the Frogs, when they play Grambling State (0-1).

Their first game in the conference they always aspired to be part of will also be their debut in a $164 million completely redone stadium. And it could be the 110th career victory for coach Gary Patterson, who is currently tied with Dutch Meyer for the most in school history.

TCU was one of only four FBS teams that didn't play on college football's opening weekend.
