NBC 5 Football Minute: Prosper

Coming off a 9-3 season in which two of the three losses came against nationally-ranked teams, the Prosper High School Eagles are trying to maintain that success, but know, it won't be easy.

"We had a great year last year," Prosper head football coach Brandon Schmidt said. "But we graduated a big senior class. For us, it's going to be, we've got to have kids step up and fill the void.

And part of the way Schmidt is trying to get his young players to achieve that success is by using a simple motto shortened to three letters on every uniform during offseason workouts.

"It came from Bill Belichick, we stole it from him," Schmidt said. "It's 'Do your job.' We want our kids to come out everyday and get a little better. But if you want to play Friday night, you need to do your job. No more, no less, do your job. It's on the jerseys, it's in the locker room, it's branded everywhere."
