Moor Lifts FC Dallas in 1-1 Draw with Galaxy

Drew Moor's goal in the 31st minute helped short-handed FC Dallas tie the Los Angeles Galaxy 1-1 on Saturday night.

Moor angled a header into the left corner of the net from 8 yards away. Dave van den Bergh setup the goal with a free kick from the right corner.

Dallas (1-6-3) had to play most of the game one man down after midfielder Marcelo Saragosa was given a red card for shoving Eddie Lewis in the back of the head in the 25th minute.  In addition to Saragosa's red card, the two teams combined for six yellow cards.

Landon Donovan gave the Galaxy a 1-0 lead in the 3rd minute from inside the goalie's box. Lewis set it up  with a left-footed cross  to Donovan from inside the left corner of the penalty box. Donovan who was tangled up with Dallas defender Daniel Torres deflected the shot into the net with his left foot.

It was Donovan's 16th career MLS goal against FC Dallas, the most any player has scored against the club.

The Galaxy (1-1-8) tied their fourth consecutive game. Los Angeles had eight shots on goal to only  three for Dallas.

Lewis missed a chance to give the Galaxy an early two-goal lead on a breakaway when he pulled a shot wide left of an empty Dallas net in the 24th minute.
