Mavs to Take on Thunder in Finals

Oklahoma City took down Memphis in a 105-90 victory on Sunday, moving them on to the Western Conference finals to battle the Mavs.

It took seven games for the Mavs to find out who'd they'd be meeting in the next round of the NBA Playoffs. Their last matchup against the LA Lakers took only four games as Dallas swept the former champions.

The first of the seven possible games in the Western Conference finals will be held Tuesday in Dallas at 8 p.m.

Game 2 is in Dallas on Thursday at 8 p.m. Games 3 and 4 will be played in Oklahoma City on Saturday and Monday, respectively.  Games 5-7, if necessary, will be played in Dallas-Oklahoma City-Dallas on May 25, May 27 and May 29.  All games have an 8 p.m. start.

Hundreds lined up for tickets to the next round of playoffs when they went on sale last Wednesday. The Mavs are headed back to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2006. In that series, they moved on to the NBA Finals before losing to the Miami Heat.

That matchup may happen again as the Heat take on the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals next week.
