Mavs Will Run On, and Off, the Court in 2014-15

Run benefits the Dallas Mavericks Foundation

I know, it’s preposterous to think about going out for a run today.

Near 100-degree heat. Bikini season over. Football on the near horizon.

But it’s never too early to think about basketball, and the Mavs will help tip-off this season with their new “Run This Town” 5K.

The run, sponsored by Baylor Emergency Medical Centers, will begin at 7 p.m. at American Airlines Center on Oct. 23, when temperatures should be bearable if not pleasant. The course winds through Victory Park and Dallas’ Design District.

Online registration begins Sept. 12 and for the $40 entry fee runners get a T-shirt and a ticket to Mavs’ home game in 2014-15. Proceeds benefit the Dallas Mavericks Foundation.
