Mavs Unveiling New Players, New Jerseys Tuesday at the AAC

First day of fall and it feels like … basketball.

American Airlines Center is officially open for Mavs’ business beginning with Tuesday’s event, which includes the introducing of new players and the unveiling of a new uniform.

The AAC will be open Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. so potential season-ticket holders can select their seats for the upcoming season and to meet newest players Tyson Chandler, Chandler Parsons, Jameer Nelson, Greg Smith, Raymond Felton, Richard Jefferson and Al-Farouq Aminu.

Also at noon, new jerseys will be revealed after being selected by owner Mark Cuban from over 1,000 entries and ideas from Mavs fans.

I’m not exactly tired of the current jerseys. In fact, I’m one of the longtime Mavs fans who liked the original logo emblazoned with Don Carter’s iconic hat.

But I’m certain that the ringing cash registers at the Mavs’ souvenir shops this afternoon will remind me why I’m wrong.
