Dallas Mavericks guard DeShawn Stevenson was arrested for public intoxication Tuesday night in Irving.
Irving police said they were called to the Grand Venetian apartments along the 6200 block of Love Drive at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after someone spotted an intoxicated person walking in the area.
When officers arrived, they found Stevenson. Officers reported Stevenson appeared intoxicated and didn't know where he was.
Stevenson was given field sobriety tests and based on the results, his statements and the officer's observations, he was arrested for public intoxication without incident.
Stevenson posted bail at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
