Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler still has inflammation in his groin area and is at least another week from swinging a bat.
General manager Jon Daniels says the AL West-leading Rangers are being cautious with Kinsler after another MRI was done Tuesday. Kinsler has been on the disabled list since July 28 with a left groin strain.
While Kinsler is eligible to come of the disabled list Thursday, Daniels says it likely will be at least the end of the month before he is back in the lineup.
Kinsler has been doing some jogging and Daniels says the second baseman isn't feeling the groin strain as much as he was.
