Gary Patterson on TCU's New Top Ten Ranking

TCU football coach Gary Patterson joined me today on my NBC Sports Radio show. The Frogs are now ranked No. 9 in the nation after going on the road to knock off then-No. 6 Oklahoma State 44-31.

TCU ran for 238 yards, including 160 by Darius Anderson, while quarterback Kenny Hill passed for 228. The Horned Frogs controlled the clock with a season-best 39:04 in time of possession while converting 11-of-19 third-down attempts. The Horned Frogs had their highest mark in time of possession since 41:52 in a 49-21 win at Baylor in 2012.

It’s hard to win in Stillwater. Patterson gave me the blueprint of how they won the game and spoke about how the schedule remains tough for TCU, now 4-0.

The Frogs are off this week and will host West Virginia in Fort Worth on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in a national TV game on FS1.
