Joe Wieland recorded the fourth no-hitter in RoughRiders history in Frisco's 3-0 victory over San Antonio Friday night from Nelson Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio.
This is the first time that a Frisco pitcher has crafted a no-hitter by himself in a nine-inning game. It is the fourth no-hitter in RoughRiders history and the second this season. Martin Perez posted a rain-shortened perfect game April 19 at Arkansas.
Wieland faced the minimum and only allowed one base runner to reach.
Wieland threw a season-high 109 pitches and struck out seven, according to the Roughriders website.
