Ex-TCU DE L.J. Collier Selected by Seattle Seahawks as No. 29 Overall Pick in NFL Draft

For the first time since 2016, TCU football has produced a first-round NFL draft pick.

Former Horned Frogs defensive end L.J. Collier was selected by the Seattle Seahawks Thursday with the No. 29 overall pick in the draft.

Collier is the first TCU product to hear his name called in the first round of the draft since former Horned Frogs standout wide receive Josh Doctson was selected by the Washington Redskins with the No. 22 overall pick in 2016. Collier's selection also marks the 11th straight spring that a TCU product has been drafted, a streak that dates back to the 2009 NFL draft.
