Design the Next Mavs Uniform

Mavs look to fans to uniform design ideas in hopes of "bragging rights"

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on Monday challenged Mavs fans to design the team’s new uniforms for the 2015-16 season.

The only catch is, the winning designer must be willing to work for free.

Cuban threw down the gauntlet on his blog Monday but was quick to point out that once you submit a uniform design idea, the design belongs to the Mavs and the winner will get nothing.

"Who will own your design? The minute you post it, the Mavs will," he wrote. "If you think it's horrible that the Mavs own your design, do not post. If you think it's cool that the Mavs could possibly use your design and you will have eternal bragging rights, then post away."

Cuban is encouraging fans to submit their design ideas to the blog and work off of the ideas of other designs in the spirit of brainstorming to find the best design.

If the team and Cuban decide that they don’t like any of the designs, then the uniforms won’t be changed at all.

If you think you have a great idea for the next Mavs uniform, submit your design directly to Cuban’s blog at Blog Maverick. Ideas, pictures, graphics, videos and photos are all accepted.
