Bosh Treating Dallas Like Foreign Territory

The Miami Heat star is a Dallas native and a graduate of Lincoln High School.

As you might have heard, Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh is from Dallas. He is a graduate of Lincoln High School. And for now, at least, he’s doing his best to pretend that his hometown is anything but, that it is any other hostile city an NBA team will meet when it goes on the road.

"Just to keep my edge," Bosh said recently via the Dallas Morning News, "I've been treating this like I'm on the road, which we are. I try not to have a home feeling.

"I think somebody asked, 'Are you getting a home-cooked meal?' I was like, 'Absolutely not.' I want to eat all garbage, junk food and room service, just to get that road feel."

In Game 3, this mindset may have paid off for Bosh. After widespread criticism in the aftermath of the Heat’s Game 2 loss to Dallas, Bosh responded with 18 points, including the game-winning jumper.
