AirHogs Reveal Baseball Stimulus Package

The Grand Prairie AirHogs will release their 2009 Stimulus Package to the public on Saturday, March 21, during an open house from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.

The new incentive offers, $1 hotdogs and $1 sodas during all Family Sunday home games and free parking all-season long.

This is, of course, being offered along with Thirsty Thursday $1 Beer Nights, Free Stuff Fridays, and Saturday Fireworks promotions.

Saturday’s event will mark the first day of individual game ticket sales for the 2009 season and will feature fun activities for the whole family.

Team manager Pete Incaviglia, AirHogs players, and mascot “Ace Bacon” will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs.

Grand Prairie Parks & Recreation Department will host a “Pitch, Hit & Run” clinic starting at 8.a.m and the 17,000 sq. ft. Parkland Community Health Plan Kid Zone and right field Pool Deck will both be open.

The first five fans to take the “Polar-Bear Plunge” into the pool (current pool temperature: 67 degrees Fahrenheit) will receive a free AirHogs t-shirt.

The AirHogs’ home opener at QuikTrip Park is May 22 against the Pensacola Pelicans. Cross-town rivals, the Fort Worth Cats, visit QuikTrip Park for three series in 2009 (June 1-3; June 26-28; July 11-13).

Finally, the AirHogs get their opportunity for revenge against their opponents in the 2008 American Association championship series over the Fourth of July weekend, when the Sioux Falls Canaries come to QuikTrip Park (July 3-5).
