Aggie Football Player Arrested for Threatening People with Rifle

Henderson is suspended indefinitely from the school's football team

A Texas A&M football player is suspended indefinitely according to our news partners at the Dallas Morning News following an arrest Sunday morning in College Station.

College Station police arrested senior defensive back Zaycoven Henderson, 23, at an apartment complex. Henderson reportedly pointed a rifle and threatened to kill people at the Campus Village Apartments.

Henderson is in the Brazos County Jail on three charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tamper/fabricate physical evidence and possession of marijuana.

Police stopped a vehicle leaving the complex and Henderson, in the passenger seat, allegedly threw a gun out of the car. That gun was later recovered by College Station police. The driver of the car, Terry Lechler Florez Jr. was cited for possession of marijuana.

A Texas A&M spokesperson told the Dallas Morning News Henderson is suspended indefinitely in accordance with the athletics department policy.

Henderson, a native of Longview, played in ten games this season as defensive tackle for the Aggies. The Texas A&M football team is set to play on December 29 in the Belk Bowl against Wake Forest in Charlotte, North Carolina.
