Burglars who broke into the Texas A&M football complex stole some athletic items and left behind a rival's message.
KBTX-TV reports athletic tape was used to write the words "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You" on the carpet of the locker room.
The tune by that name is a tradition of the University of Texas.
Associate athletic director Alan Cannon says some football equipment was stolen. The extent of the losses was under investigation.
Texas A&M's police believe the break-in at the Bright Football Complex happened Monday night.
So far there have been no arrests.
The complex includes the Aggie locker room, athletic training room, rehabilitation complex, meeting rooms, coaches offices and a lounge.
